The Next Generation in Operations & Maintenance Training is Here

We all know how difficult change can be for large organizations, regardless of industry. That’s why I am so excited to write about a renaissance of a long-standing training product—SAIT’s SOLIS product which has been setting industry standards in operations and maintenance technical training in Alberta and worldwide.

This renaissance has been inspired by the recognition that our operations and maintenance learners have changed too—they require content that is more flexible and easy to access. And, the companies that we work with need to be able to tie training to corporate objectives, competency and progression.

So, we’ve put together a team that is working to refine and expand learning content to better align with the changing needs of industry’s O&M personnel. We are also offering more versatile and flexible training delivery options that we believe will create a more effective learning experience for O&M employees worldwide.

SAIT Operations and Maintenance Training is the next generation of training solutions for operations and maintenance. It includes content for instructor-led training and e-learning, as well as competency development and competency management resources for the following disciplines: Production Field Operations (PFO), Gas Process Operations (GPO) and Drilling Operations. In the near future the product line will also expand to include access to training for pipeline, refinery and petro-chemical operations and maintenance disciplines, including the development of a new thermal operator program.

In the past year we’ve built an excellent team that understands what industry needs and is working hard to deliver solutions. We’ve come a long way and we’re not stopping anytime soon. The world is changing out there, and we’re changing along with it.
