Introduction to Unconventional Gas

As conventional gas reserves decline around the world, sources of "unconventional resources" become important to develop. This course will examine the differences between conventional gas exploration and production and techniques used in CBM development. This course will help identify what CBM is, where it is found and how it is extracted. The course will also provide an overview of specific environmental and regulatory issues associated with CBM technology. Participants will examine some new technologies, development and research associated with coalbed methane.
