Reducing workplace hazards and increasing worker safety is an important responsibility of managers and organizations. Workplace violence prevention and addressing the hazards of working alone safely are important aspects of safe workplaces as incidents of potential violence are on the rise in many workplaces. Creating safer workplaces involves creating an atmosphere of respect and enhancing attitudes of safety. This course is designed to help you understand workplace violence prevention, how to create a safe and respectful workplace program and to explore implementing work safe policies.
No prerequisite for this course. To obtain SAIT's Applied Management Certificate, courses completed must add up to a minimum of 144 hours . This course can be used as an elective for SAIT's Applied Project Management Certificate.
