Risk management is a key competency for today's business professional. It is essential, in a complex and fast-paced business environment, that managers and business professionals proactively manage risk inherent in day-to-day operations, customer agreements, business investments and special projects. The learning material in this course will help business professionals with best practice knowledge and tools to develop a sound risk management plan, perform a comprehensive risk assessment, develop a cost-effective risk response plan, provide for risk financing, and monitor risks. Participants will experience application of the risk management principles through focused group activities completed during the workshops. Knowledge gained will become relevant as the instructor shares real life experiences and valuable lessons learned.
No prerequisite for this course. To obtain SAIT's Applied Management Certificate, courses completed must add up to a minimum of 144 hours. This course can be used as a required course for SAIT's Project Management Certificate.
