This course is designed to provide a skill set that will help to address problems related to traditional construction planning. WorkFace Planning as a process emphasizes the development of small manageable work packages for construction projects. WorkFace Planning training helps with getting the right things, to the right people, at the right place so that work crews can perform safe, effective, and efficient work. The WorkFace Planning model emphasizes the pushing of planning earlier into the project to support efforts at the field level, and is supported by various tools including rules, scorecard, flowchart, and templates. Topics covered: How to implement all the main elements of a COAA-compliant WFP Model; Composition of a Field Installation Work Package; Effects of traditional construction approach and a WFP approach; Benefits of WFP and the importance of all elements of the COAA WFP Model: Day 1: WorkFace Planning - Introduction and Theory; Day 2: Workface Planning - DBM, EDS, and Detailed Engineering; Day 3: WorkFace Planning - Construction; Day 4: WorkFace Planning - Construction
