Workforce Nationalization Training
Technical Training
Technical Training is an integral component of our Workforce Nationalization Training solution for exploration and production companies operating worldwide.
Benefit from quality industry-supported foundational knowledge
The success of our in-Canada training program stems in part from a training model that integrates three critical elements to build trainee competency and provides the solid foundation for further on-the-job training and progression: English language proficiency, technical knowledge and global business culture awareness.
The technical training component of our in-Canada training program draws content from our readily available industry-supported operations and maintenance training program modules for operations and maintenance including:
- Energy Leadership Skills
- Gas Process Operations
- Industrial Environmental Awareness
- Production Field Operations
- Worker Safety Awareness
- Workplace Safety Management
Modular content from our electrical, instrumentation and mechanical trades apprenticeship programs is also incorporated, matching your company’s international operation requirements.
Safety is an overarching theme throughout the technical training program where petroleum industry safety practices and procedures include the use of personal protective equipment in all SAIT demonstration sites. We also incorporate your company’s specific safety training policies and procedures into our training.
Benefit from skills development in a simulated plant environment
Face-to-face instruction of our technical training represents approximately 60 per cent of the total technical training delivered. The remaining 40 per cent is dedicated to hands-on learning in our various state-of-the-art facilities and demonstration sites including our Rance Fisher Well Site Production Education Centre. This centre of technology houses an operable on-site service rig which contains extensive drilling, service, process, and control equipment as well as an auditorium-style classroom providing your trainees with the unique opportunity to learn and to operate fully functional equipment in a safe and supervised environment.
Regularly scheduled technical field trips also enhance the technical training component of our in-Canada training program for workforce nationalization.
