To meet the ongoing demand for extraordinary frontline supervisors, Calfrac Well Services and SAIT Polytechnic have joined forces to offer a training program designed to give you—an aspiring, new or experienced supervisor—the tools to address today's complex supervisor challenges.


Calfrac Supervisor Skills Program

This program offers a variety of courses delivered by highly qualified instructors, in an interactive workshop-style learning environment. Compulsory courses are specific to Calfrac as they incorporate Calfrac-infused content aligned with the company's values, objectives and needs. In certain cases, course content will be administered by a Calfrac representative who can bring his/her own perspective about the company's current and future working environments.

This Program consists of:

Level 1 – This level focuses on Calfrac's values and core competencies to all future supervisors a baseline understanding of what is expected. Ideally, employees who would benefit the most from Level 1 will originate from the field operator and supervisor roles, as well as corporate departments. Participants must complete four (4) compulsory courses and one (1) elective.

Level 2 – This level focuses on leadership and management competencies to prepare supervisors for future assignments with greater management accountabilities. Ideally, this level targets field supervisors and those working within corporate departments. Participants must complete four (4) compulsory courses and one (1) elective.

Calfrac Certification

A Calfrac Certificate will be awarded upon successful completion of both levels.

SAIT Applied Management Certificate

Upon completion of Levels 1 and 2 plus two additional electives. You will be awarded a SAIT Applied Management Certificate through SAIT's School of Business.

The successful completion of a minimum of 12 courses and 144 hours is required to receive the SAIT Certificate of Achievement in Applied Management.

Blue Seal Certification - Alberta Only

SAIT's Applied Management courses are accredited by the Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training Board for the Blue Seal Certification Program. To obtain Blue Seal Certification, 150 hours are required.

All courses will be scheduled and available throughout the year at various Calfrac locations.
