Oilfield Safety Training
SAIT's popular Summer Student Field Safety training program is a great way to not only train your hires on summer break from university, but also to eventually recruit them and retain them longer-term.
Delivered on SAIT campus in Calgary, this comprehensive oilfield safety training program is industry-recognized and provides a quick and convenient, one-stop approach to standardized oilfield safety training and certification for oil and gas companies.
Training and Certification
Our oilfield safety training package includes instructor-led and online training, certification/tickets, take-away training materials, and daily refreshments. The following courses are included in the training program, and are typically delivered over a six-day period:
- Confined Space Entry
- H2S Alive
- Safe Driving
- Standard First Aid and CPR
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG)
- Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) online
Note that we also offer a four-hour Ground Disturbance course at an additional cost.

This $3.5 million state-of-the-art facility, built with funding and support from Alberta’s oil and gas industry and the provincial government is one of the settings for energy-related education and training offered by SAIT's MacPhail School of Energy.
